DC Comics on Tuesday formally announced José Luis García-López’s DC Classics Artist’s Edition, coming in 2027.
The 12″ x 17″ hardcover presents Garcia-Lopez’s original art at full size, featuring seven complete stories, including Batman, Jonah Hex, Cinder and Ashe, and others. There will also be a selection of covers, pages, and rare pieces. Many pages are inked by García-López himself.
The 240-page book, curated by Act 4 Publishing’s Scott Dunbier, will list for $150 and is due March 23, 2027.

Gorgeous art!
I wish he had a regular job in DC Comics Presents. I feel the constant changes in the Art team hurt the title. JLGL would have been the perfect choice as Jim Aparo’s counterpart in The Brave and the Bold. His Metal Men are amazingly expressive and versatile.
The splash page of Deadman quitting is one of my favorites. Deadman’s body language is so full of anguish, pain, anger and hurt that one can’t help but get into the story immediately.
That art was swiped sone time later by the cover artist of Fantomas, in issue 614.
