A quartet worthy of the King…

TwoMorrows’ Jack Kirby Collector has four new issues on tap for 2024 and 2025, featuring the typically broad array of subjects related to the King.

Here are the covers and descriptions for all four, including pre-order links. (The issues will also be available at comics shops and mag sellers.)

Dig it.

JACK KIRBY COLLECTOR #92

Winter 2025 – 84-page FULL-COLOR magazine

We go IN THE NEWS! From the Boys’ Brotherhood Republic newsletter of his childhood, to rare newspaper interviews with Jack and articles about his career, we’re clipping anything and everything about Kirby that has to do with newsprint! There’s a never-published 1973 San Diego Con panel with Jack discussing DC’s coloring with Neal Adams, newly discovered strips that Jack ghosted for other syndicated artists (including Frank Giacoia on Johnny Reb & Billy Yank), unused newspaper strip concepts, collages, a never-reprinted Simon & Kirby Headline Comics tale, a Jimmy Olsen and the Newsboy Legion pencil art gallery, our regular columnists, the 2024 WonderCon Kirby panel (featuring David Schwartz, Glen Gold, and Ray Wyman, and moderated by Rand Hoppe and John Morrow), and more! With an unused Jimmy Olsen cover inked by syndicated cartoonist David Reddick. Edited by John Morrow.

JACK KIRBY COLLECTOR #93

Spring 2025 – 84-page FULL-COLOR magazine

SUPPORTING PLAYERS! We give top billing to some of the lesser lights of Jack’s oeuvre, including almost-major villains like Darkseid’s crony Kanto the Assassin and Diablo, along with wannabe “Loser” Rodney Rumpkin, Mr. Little, the Falcon, Randu Singh, and others who finally take center stage! Plus: an unpublished 1970 interview with Jack by Shel Dorf, our regular columnists, Mark Evanier‘s 2024 Kirby Tribute Panel from Comic-Con International, a never-reprinted Simon & Kirby story, a pencil art gallery devoted to second-stringers and little guys bringing up the rear, and more ways of digging out the deeper meanings to be found in even Jack’s minor concepts! With an unused Mister Miracle cover inked by Mike Royer. Edited by John Morrow.

JACK KIRBY COLLECTOR #94

Summer 2025 – 84-page FULL-COLOR magazine

SPACE RACES! Jack didn’t need a telescope to see cosmic gods and life on other planets, and this issue brings them all into focus for Kirby fans. How Ego, Tana Nile, and the Recorder took Thor to strange new worlds, the space age future of OMAC, Mr. Buddah and other time travelers in Kirby’s work, favorite Kirby sci-fi tropes in the Three Rocketeers, Sky Masters and the Black Hole, plus: a 1967 Stan Lee/Jack Kirby interviewMark Evanier and our other regular columnists, a never-reprinted Simon & Kirby story, a robotic Kirby pencil art gallery, and more, behind a Kirby cover inked by Terry Austin. Edited by John Morrow.

JACK KIRBY COLLECTOR #95

Fall 2025 – 84-page FULL-COLOR magazine

MADNESS! There’s a fine line between genius and insanity, so we’ll examine some of Kirby’s more deranged series and characters, from the Dingbats, Goody Rickels, and Destroyer Duck, to the Goozlebobber, Not Brand Echh, and a mountain of animation concepts too crazy to hit the airwaves! Also included is a 1980s interview with Kirby by James Van Hise, an examination of Jack’s psychedelic coloring, Kirby’s few (but vital) depictions of Dr. Strange, a far-out Forever People art gallery, Mark Evanier and our other regular columnists, a maniacal 1950s Simon & Kirby story, and more! This off-the-wall issue features an unused Machine Man cover inked by Steve Leialoha. Edited by John Morrow.

Due Sept. 24, 2025/$10.95
