A cult classic returns to shelves…
I remember when Rick Veitch’s Brat Pack came out in 1990, at the tail end of the black-and-white indie comics explosion that presaged publishers like IDW, Image and Dark Horse.
Needless to say, the dark riff on the Teen Titans, and sidekicks in general, blew my mind.
Now, 15 years after it last saw print, the cult classic is getting a new hardcover edition 11/21 through IDW, complete with a new essay by Veitch, design concepts, the original series pitch and Neil Gaiman’s intro to a previous collection.
Check out this INSIDE LOOK at some of Veitch’s character designs, parodying Robin, Bucky, Speedy, Etta Candy (and Wonder Girl) and Jimmy Olsen:
The new edition of Brat Pack is due 11/21. The 240-page hardcover lists for $29.99.
