Well, if you want to make your way around the Krakoas, Atlantises and, yes, Manhattans of your mind, DK has the book for you this fall: Marvel Universe: Map by Map — An Atlas From Asgard to Wakanda, by James Hill and Nick Jones.
The 240-page, lushly illustrated hardcover is basically a history of the Marvel Universe told through cartography, classic comics images and a sort-of travelogue.
In a way, it’s a colorful, modern version of The Atlas of the DC Universe that was produced by our pal Paul Kupperberg for Mayfair Games in the 1980s.

This looks like the kind of book where you could lose yourself for hours — because you know you’ll be able to find your way back. It’s due Nov. 9 and lists for $45.
