If Only NEAL ADAMS Had Drawn More SPIDER-MAN

The master rarely went swinging with Marvel’s greatest character…

Earlier in July, we posted a Batgirl piece by Neal Adams that’s up for sale at the Adams clan’s store. The reason I found it so compelling is that Neal never did much on Batgirl and it would’ve been groovy to see him do more.

Well, our pal Walt Grogan happened to dig up an old Spider-Man illustration by Neal and he had more or less the same thought: “If only Neal Adams had done more Spider-Man.”

And here we are, with the original — and a version colored by Your Friendly Neighborhood Walt:

Love it.

  1. Great job as always Walt! Did Adams perhaps create this as a marketing piece the 90s Spider-Man animated series? It seems familiar, and the shape of the eyes looks similar to the model sheets from that show.

    • Hi, Chris! I believe so. He did some others pieces for the toy line but I like this one the best! And thanks for the kudos!
