Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Detective Comics #475 Facsimile Edition, DC. A new printing of this particular Facsimile Edition. I’m down for it because I always want DC to focus more on Englehart and Rogers, but also because this time around there will be foil and logo sketch covers. That said, I have to point out to DC that if you’re going to republish the first part of a two-parter, you really should do the second part as a Facsimile too. This is an especially egregious case.

Action Comics #242 Facsimile Edition, DC. Brainiac Begins! And Man of Tomorrow’s still more than a year away!

—
Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four #2, Marvel. We’ve been chronicling the creation of Ron Frenz and Brett Breeding’s fab variant cover homaging Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers, so here is the final, final version.

Asumi-chan Is Interested in Lesbian Brothels! Vol. 6, Seven Seas. Is this a good jumping-on point? Do you have to read the first five volumes to be able to follow the plot? Asking for a friend.

DC Finest: The Flash — The Fastest Man Dead, DC. A nice thick chunk of ’70s-era Flash comics, a time period which has been underrepresented when it comes to collections.

—
Marvel Premier Collection: Punisher — Welcome Back, Frank, Marvel. Just in time for the new Disney+ special comes this re-release of perhaps the best standalone Punisher story, equal parts gritty ultraviolence and black humor.

—
Emperor Aquaman #15, DC. This looks like a good jumping-on point for Aquaman fans.

Hey Dan, League of Comics Geeks has a June solicit for an Amazing Spider-Man #546 Facsimile Edition!
March 9, 2026
i´m kinda hoping for a facsimile of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN # 328, given that its a Spidery/Hulk confrontation and with the plot of the new movie… maybe the odds are good?
March 9, 2026
Not quite the same, but there was a True Believers reprint of #328 a few years ago.

We need more Golden and Silver Facsimiles and less modern ones.
March 9, 2026
Agreed!
March 10, 2026
For sure!
March 14, 2026
And hopefully more of the harder-to-get variety. Reprinting individual issues we can find for under $15 isn’t much of a draw.

LMAO at the line, “asking for a friend”!

Completely agree that if you’re going to give ‘Tec 475 the facsimile treatment, you should also do so for ‘Tec 476, which IMO is the better issue and with a classic cover at that.
