Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
Back Issue #158, Alter Ego #192, RetroFan #37, American Comic Book Chronicles: 1965-69, American Comic Book Chronicles: The 1980s, TwoMorrows. As we’ve written, TwoMorrows was seriously screwed by Diamond’s bankruptcy, so if you’re a fan — and I’m sure you are — pick up their offerings this week, which were handled by Lunar, their new distributor. The ACBC hardcovers are new printings, so if you missed them originally, now’s your chance. TwoMorrows needs the help, folks, and we certainly want to encourage their new relationship with Lunar, so if your LCS isn’t carrying these, let them know you want them!

Batman: The Long Halloween — The Last Halloween #5, DC. Bill Sienkiewicz returns to Gotham, as The Last Halloween picks up again after a month off. Gee, I wonder who the villain is this issue…

If you’re not reading my Alter Ego and Back Issue magazines on a regular basis you are DEFINITELY missing the best published comic book fanzines ever.
Same with all their special project books, about comics and comic book history, TwoMorrows puts out VERY entertaining and high quality publications….
YOU should be reading them and your local comic shop should be supporting them by selling their products…CHEERS TO HIGH QUALITY! Support them with your buying power as I do too!

I wouldn’t call them fanzines. These are professional publications. They share the same spirit though!

My copies of AlterEgo & Back Issue haven’t arrived yet. But I’m nearly done with RetroFan. They (TwoMorrows) are a treasure of old comic fun to be sure.
Taking the plunge based on Dan’s recommendation, I thoroughly enjoyed issues 1&2 of Metamorpho. Still not a fan of the coloring or very clean lines of today’s computer comic art but the story is great fun with a real flair of Silver Age there.
Daredevil was done as a $1 version a few years back but I’m excited to get the full-on facsimile edition. Marvel needs to do more from this era for sure.
For me, the best era of the JLA was the satellite era. The post-crisis stories never clicked with me.

*Post-Crisis* never clicked with me.
I tried. I tried. …I tried.
