Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
The Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection: Spider-Man or Spider-Clone?, Marvel. I have been waiting for this one for quite a while. I’ve read every ASM comic, mag and annual up to Issue #142. This Epic Collection picks up from there — and gives us a lot of milestones: Peter and Mary Jane’s first kiss, Gerry Conway’s finale and Len Wein’s start. Plus, all that Andru! Can’t wait.

Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor #1, DC. First issue of a three-part Black Label mini by Mark Waid, Bryan Hitch, Kevin Nowlan and co. Luthor’s dying, he wants Superman to save him — and the Man of Steel turns over heaven and earth to make it happen. Why?
Oh, and Chris Samnee’s variant is my favorite Superman cover of the year so far. (Has anyone put a ring on Clark like that before?):

X-Men Epic Collection: The Fate of the Phoenix, Marvel. Hey, another chance to pick up this seminal storyline in case you never have.

Count Dante #2, Scout Comics. I actually have no idea whether this is any good. I’m just happy it exists. I mean, Count Dante needs the movie treatment, doesn’t he? Guy’s right out of Tarantino!
That’s it, kids! Scott’s off for the week! See ya next time!
