Batman #357 Facsimile Edition, DC. A pretty good, but not great, story featuring the first appearance of the original Jason Todd. I’m getting it even though I have the original because I will support Marvel and DC’s Facsimile Edition programs until the bats come home. I’m also getting the sketch cover because I love seeing that logo unencumbered. (There’s also a foil variant, but that ain’t my jam.)

Batman/Superman: World’s Finest Vol. 1: The Devil Nezha, DC. If you’re a Silver Age or Bronze Age fan, this series by Mark Waid and Dan Mora will scratch that itch. The hardcover includes the first six issues but I do want to say that the latest issue, #12, featuring a disastrous date between Robin (Dick Grayson) and Supergirl, made me laugh out loud at least three times.

Genius Illustrated: The Life and Art of Alex Toth, IDW. A paperback release of the second volume (of three) in the critically acclaimed book series by Dean Mullaney and Bruce Canwell. From the official description: “Covering the years from the 1960s to Toth’s poignant death in 2006, this oversized book features artwork and complete stories from Toth’s latter-day work at Warren, DC Comics, Red Circle, Marvel, and his own creator-owned properties, plus samples of his animation work for Hanna-Barbera, Ruby-Spears, and others, as well as sketchbook pages, doodles, advertising art, and other rarities.” How can you turn that down?

Scarlet Witch #3, Marvel. I need to check this book out. Side note: It never occurred to me until now that Scarlet Witch and Polaris were sisters.

The Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection: The Goblin Lives, Marvel. Just amazing landmark, late-’60s Spidey classics from Stan Lee and John Romita.

Dan adds: A re-release of one of the greatest collections of comics you’ll ever read. If you don’t have it, buy it.

Mary Jane and Black Cat #4, Marvel. I must have missed this in months past. This looks fun.
