Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Marvel Classic Black Light Posters Vol. 2, Abrams ComicArts/Marvel. The companion volume to last year’s portfolio completes Marvel and Abrams’ reprinting of the original 1971 Third Eye series of 24 posters. These babies are gorgeous — with art by the likes of Jack Kirby, John Buscema, John Romita and more — even if they don’t light up quite as well as the originals. (And just try getting your hands on a complete set of those.) This is one of the coolest releases of the year. (Click here for a gallery of posters in the set.)
Scott adds: I got a sneak peek of this thing at San Diego Comic-Con, and it looks so damned cool.

Fantastic Four by John Byrne Omnibus Vol. 1, Marvel. For a lot of fans, this is their fave FF, so if you missed this when it was first offered several years back, here’s a new printing for ya.

World of Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #124, Archie. Maybe I should hire Archie and Jughead to rake my front lawn. Then again, I do like the leaves all over the place. Very colorful. Smells good too.

Marvel Masterworks: The Incredible Hulk Vol. 16, Marvel. A hardcover full of Hulk tales by Bill Mantlo, Sal Buscema and Herb Trimpe? Sign me up.

Miracleman Omnibus, Marvel. I try not to pick up too many omnibi, just because they’re so unwieldy to read. But this one is really tempting.

All pretty fantabulous picks. 😉

I take it Moore pulled his name off MM? Since it isn’t an adaptation, any idea why?
