Superman ’78 #2, DC. Robert Venditti, Wilfredo Torres and Jordie Bellaire are giving us a pitch-perfect Shoulda Been Superman III. This issue’s Superman/Lex meeting is worth the price of admission alone. (Click here for a SNEAK PEEK that you will definitely want to check out.)

The Amazing Spider-Man #74, Marvel. AKA Spidey #875. On the strength of this Marco Checchetto variant alone. Dig it.

Vengeance of Vampirella #22, Dynamite. See, it’s weeks like this that make me want to bring back our old BEST VARIANTS feature. This is gorgeous work by Ben Oliver and I love, love, love the whole psychedelia schtick.
