Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…
Scott Tipton, contributor-at-large, 13th Dimension
Captain America Bicentennial Battles, Marvel. Marvel’s classic ’70s treasury edition gets the classy reprint treatment. Jack Kirby’s takes Cap through a time-travel tour of American history!
Dan adds: Never got the original, so this is an easy buy.

Marvel Masterworks Daredevil Vol. 15, Marvel. If you had to get one Daredevil Masterworks volume, this is it — the beginning of Frank Miller’s legendary run with the character.
—
The Flash #771, DC Comics. Wally West’s trek through the speedsters of all time continues! You can tell writer Jeremy Adams loves these characters and is having fun bringing them back into the spotlight.
—
Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
Little Shoppe of Horrors #46. The Brit horror mag gives a lot of love to the Hammer classic The Horror of Dracula, which means you get to bask in the greatness of Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.
—
The Madmaniverse Library, Vol. 1, Dark Horse. The hardcover series will collect the full run of Mike and Laura Allred’s Madman adventures and this 680-page volume includes Madman’s tales from 1990 to 1996, plus pinups by folks like Frank Miller, Jack Kirby and Moebius. Not just that, the book includes They! — Mike Allred’s never-before-published first shot at making comics.

I can remember buying that Cap’ Treasury like it was yesterday.

Yeah… me too… I remember reading it on the floor of my grandparents’ house… which was the preferred reading method for those treasuries!
I lost it over the years, but my lovely wife bought me a mint copy a few years ago, and it’s like opening a time machine.

Had no idea they were doing Library editions of Madman!
