Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…
Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
Batman: Three Jokers #2, DC. I have to say that with all the delays and back-and-forth getting this three-part mini off the ground, my expectations were fairly low. But #1 was more intriguing than I anticipated and I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes. By Geoff Johns, Jason Fabok and co.

Giant-Size X-Men #1 Tribute to Wein & Cockrum, Marvel. A remake of the 1975 landmark – but with a different artist doing each page. Folks like Alex Ross, Chris Samnee, Kevin Nowlan and many, many more. Neat concept. (Click here for a SNEAK PEEK.)

DC Gallery Classic Batman PVC Statue, Diamond Select. A Batman statue that recalls Neal Adams and Jim Aparo at a relatively inexpensive $50. Nice-looking piece.

Scott Tipton, contributor-at-large, 13th Dimension
Shang-Chi #1, Marvel. Nothing can top the original Master of Kung Fu run, But I’m a big fan of Shang-Chi, so I’ll check this out. By 13th Dimension fave Gene Luen Yang, Dike Ruan, Philip Tan and crew.

Ditko Is Strange (King-Size Edition), Marvel. Classic Lee/Ditko Doctor Strange stories at a colossal, roughly two-feet-high size? Please and thank you.

These picks are hot, all right, and well chosen!

The over size editions are great. Just can’t have too many on the old bookshelf. No interest in the other titles. And the statue, I think the shadows on the muscles are too pronounced for my taste.

That Batman statue looks like a re-release of a statue that was a Gamestop Exclusive a couple of years ago. If so, I got one then and it is nice.
Not sure how I feel about the redrawn Giant Sized X-Men. That looks like a nice array of talent but I liked Cockrum’s original art.
