Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
Batman #95, DC. In some respects, the Batman we’ve been getting in the flagship has been fresh and interesting. Then again, how many “ultimate battles against the Joker” can there be? Still, I’m intrigued enough to keep going.
—
Detective Comics #1024, DC. Boy, let’s see, you’ve got Two-Face, Lincoln March and the Joker, all in one issue. Peter Tomasi writes a solid modern Batman, with art by Brad Walker and Andrew Hennessy.
—
The House of Mystery: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 2, DC. Collects Issues #201-226 and features artists such as Bernie Wrightson, Michael Wm. Kaluta, Sergio Aragonés and Alex Niñ. Bronze Age horror is awesome horror.

Scott Tipton, contributor-at-large, 13th Dimension
Green Lantern/Green Arrow: Space Traveling Heroes, DC Comics. With the recent loss of the great Denny O’Neil, this feels like the perfect time to catch up with some of his less well known GL/GA tales, featuring the art of Mike Grell.
—
Blacksad: Collected Stories, Dark Horse. If you’ve never read Blacksad by Juan Diaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido, you owe it to yourself to get in now. Moody noir detective stories conveyed with beautiful “funny-animal” style characters. It’s genius.
—
The Eternals by Jack Kirby: The Complete Collection, Marvel. Try as I might, I’ve never been able to get into The Eternals. Gonna give it another shot here.
