Scott and Dan pick the comics they’re most looking forward to…

Scott Tipton, contributor-at-large, 13th Dimension
Crisis on Infinite Earths Giant #1, DC. I am such a sucker for Crisis. Also, is this the first comic-book appearance of Jon Cryer Lex Luthor? I think it is.
—
Dollar Comics: The Batman Adventures #12, DC. Everyone needs a copy of this issue, just to enjoy the wonder that was the art of the late, great Mike Parobeck. Oh, and it’s Harley Quinn’s first appearance in comics.
—
ROM: Dire Wraiths #1, IDW. ROM the Spaceknight’s sworn enemies return to the comics shelves with this Apollo-era throwback adventure! From ROM-master Chris Ryall and artists Luca Pizzari, Guy Dorian Sr. and more — including Sal Buscema!
—
Crazy TPB, Marvel. Crazy was Marvel’s answer to Mad back in the day, and I honestly have to admit I haven’t looked at an issue in decades. I’m curious if the material will hold up. (Also includes last year’s one-shot of new stuff.)
—
Marvel Masterworks: Daredevil Vol. 14 HC, Marvel. The Frank Miller years start here, with Miller’s debut in Daredevil #158! That’s not all, though: The months leading up to that issue were primo Bronze Age tales for the Man Without Fear!

Dan Greenfield, editor, 13th Dimension
Detective Comics #359 Facsimile Edition, DC. Reprinting Batgirl’s debut – ads, letters and all! Plus, an Elongated Man backup! (Click here for a SNEAK PEEK and click here for a look at how fans immediately reacted to the Dominoed Daredoll’s premiere back in the ’60s.)
—
The Incredible Hulk #180 Facsimile Edition, Marvel. I really like what Marvel is doing here: They’ve already given us the Hulk #181 Facsimile Edition, with the first full appearance of Wolverine. But now we’re getting the previous issue, which featured his last-page cameo debut. And coming soon, we’ll be getting Hulk #182, which also co-starred Wolverine, and Thor #229 – which included the first ad touting his arrival. That’s commitment.
—
Legion of Super-Heroes #3, DC. Robin joins the Legion – but only Superboy’s excited about it. How long until the Boy Wonder wears out his welcome? Brian Michael Bendis and Ryan Sook know…
—
True Believers, Marvel. Another pair of dollar reprints featuring Marvel’s criminally insane, tying into the Ravencroft mini-event.

DC, Marvel, and IDW oughta have a pretty cool Wednesday.
