SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN!

If you love the old 1970s Spider-Man TV show, it’s a good time to be a fan, isn’t it?
Just last week, our pal Chris Franklin provided you with a top-notch review of the new Spider-Man ’77 action figure.

And this week, we spotlight Kerry’s fab sketch cover of Nicholas Hammond (or maybe stuntman Fred Waugh) doing that thing Spider-Men do:

Can Disney get on the stick and finally put this show out in an official set? Like, 4K even? (And how about the 1967 Spider-Man cartoon while they’re at it?)
Anyway, Kerry’s groovy sketch cover is something he put together recently.
“To me, one of the weirdest things about the old Spider-Man TV show was how he used an open hand and threw his web,” Kerry sez. “I tried to capture that on this blank cover commission.”

As much nostalgia I have for this cartoon, I’m just not sure what 4K would do for it? Especially seeing how blended and filtered Batman the Animated Series looked with just a regular Blu Ray transfer.

I’d easily settle for blu-ray with Nick Hammond doing commentary on the pilot.
