An artist often misunderstood…
Some seriously groovy news coming out of San Diego Comic-Con: TwoMorrows is planning illustrated histories of two artists who never seem to quite get their due — Frank Robbins and Don Newton.
You can read about Newton’s book over here, but Robbins’ book has yet to get a cover, let alone a title or release window. But it is being written by Greg Biga, sez publisher John Morrow, who provided these three teaser images:
Robbins seems to be one of those artists who you “get” or you don’t. As a kid, I didn’t. As an adult, I do, so I eagerly await hearing more about this one. (Plus, he was a solid Batman writer, too.)

I read the invaders as a kid. I thought his work was perfect for that title. Such a unique style. Looking forward to getting this book.
