I can’t even dream of what it’s like to be able to draw like this…

We’ve got a Neal Adams two-fer for you today. Over here is your FIRST LOOK at the variant cover for the Neal Adams Classic DC Artist’s Edition, featuring art from Green Lantern #76.
And here (insert drum roll) is your FIRST LOOK at the main cover — with art from Batman #232 — in glorious high-resolution:

It should be criminal to be that good. That’s what I love about Artist’s Editions — the visceral experience of looking at original comics art as if you’re seeing it through the eyes of the illustrator.
I can’t even.

The Neal Adams Classic DC Artist’s Edition is scheduled for a September release from IDW and DC. The oversize hardcover, which replicates original art, lists for $150.

Can anyone enlighten me how this cover was created? In the A.I. this cover is two seperate pieces of artwork. Ra’s with thick grease pencil and Batman and Robin on the other. How where these combined during printing? And was this the same process as some of the Mazzuchelli covers to DD Born Again (the A.E. had vellum pages).
