It is really nifty that Marvel’s brought back the superhero digest (with more than a little help from their friends at Archie). It’s not just retro cool. It’s smart.
These affordable packages of vintage and relatively recent reprints aren’t just available at comics shops but at an array of retailers across the country. And the tendency to highlight characters with movies coming out? Well, good on ya, folks.
Marvel Comics Digest #3: Thor hits 10/11 — less than a month before Thor: Ragnarok hits US theaters 11/3. The issue, with a cover by Olivier Coipel, features stories from Thor #154-157; Thor Annual #6; Marvel Age Spider-Man Team-Up #4; Marvel Adventures Super Heroes (2010) #6 and #19; Marvel Universe Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes #9; and, Marvel Universe Avengers Assemble #4.
