As Archie Comics’ deal with Oni Press to produce new, modern comics and classic collections revs up, the publisher itself is finishing out 2026 with one more digest. In addition, it’s cancelling two Facsimile Editions — 1958’s Life With Archie #1 and 1959’s Archie’s Madhouse #1 — to be resolicited at a later date, likely 2027.
The postponements of the Facsimiles are disappointing, sure, but at least we’ll have a fresh digest with classic material to stuff your stocking in December — Archie Comics Digest #9: Winter Special. That joins this year’s Archie’s Christmas Spectacular one-shot, which is due Oct. 7.
