BIFF! BAM! EEE-YOW! to be published in March…
Batmaven Jim Beard, historian Rich Handley and the fine folks at Crazy 8 Press are gearing up for the release of the second volume in their series of books analyzing the 1966 Batman TV show — and how groovy is that?
BIFF! BAM! EEE-YOW! The Subterranean Blue Grotto Guide to Batman ’66 — Season Two is due for a March release and, like Season One’s ZLONK! ZOK! ZOWIE!, features essays on every episode by a coterie of top Bat-experts (your humble host included).
In addition to the essays, the book features sketches by a Batcave full of artists paying tribute to Season Two’s highlights.

A few thoughts:
— I haven’t asked Jim, but I’d wager that Season Three guide’s will be purple with Yvonne Craig’s Batgirl in the corner.
— The book will be available at Amazon and through Crazy 8 Press in March, though the listing has not been posted yet. Prices haven’t been finalized but the Season One paperback is $14.99 and the eBook is $4.99. Prices are likely to be similar, or perhaps slightly more since there are a lot more pages. (Season Two being the longest of the three.) If you want to order Season One, click here.
— I’m deeply flattered to be a part of this project, with so many fine writers attached. I wrote about The Thirteenth Hat in the first edition. It was a real gas to do and it was even more fun to write about the Catwoman episode guest-starring Lesley Gore this time around.
— * That question mark is officially part of Stacey Smith?’s name.
