A ride that does Barbara Gordon proud…
We’ve heard it’s coming and now here’s your EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK at McFarlane Toys’ upcoming Batgirl Cycle for its 6-inch-scale Batman ’66 action figures:
The vehicle — the first Batgirl Cycle ever produced for an action figure line — will go up for pre-order Friday, Sept. 6 at 12 p.m. ET. Click here for the McFarlane link.
But wait there’s more! Batgirl’s purple, faux-fringed ride will be joined by another ground-breaker in the same wave: the villainous Clock King, who has never been produced for any Batman ’66 range. You can click here to check out an EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK.
The Batgirl Cycle and Clock King, both of which have been rumored for awhile now, will be released along with “Italian Red Batman,” Wonder Woman, and Joker and Batgirl variants. Those four have already been seen — but you can see BRAND NEW, UP-CLOSE PIX by clicking here.
Meanwhile, check out more Batgirl Cycle images — and this groovy video:

A few thoughts:
— The Batgirl Cycle will list for $29.99 and the figures will list for $19.99 each. They are expected to be released by the end of the year.
— As mentioned, there have been Batgirl Cycle products before, but they’ve been of the model or Hot Wheels variety. There’s never been one for action figures and this is expected to be a very hot seller.
— Getting a Batgirl Cycle is a tremendous amount of fun and something you could not have expected when this line launched, but McFarlane has consistently exceeded expectations with Batman ’66. Not to be greedy, but wouldn’t it be cool if there were a Barbara Gordon apartment/Batgirl nook playset too?

I guess since is says 6 inch scale and Batman was about 6ft. it is a 1/12 scale or in other words One inch to the foot. Correct?

Pretty much. Inexact but yeah, 1/12 scale is 6-inch-scale.

Ok. Maybe I’m splitting hairs a bit. But shouldn’t it be called the 1967 Batgirl Cycle? That’s the season Batgirl and her Cycle premiered.

I get it. But, “BATMAN ‘66” is the branding for the whole series. Otherwise, since all of season 1 & half of #2 is from ‘66….you would almost have to say ‘67-68’ if you are using broadcast dates in the titles. Otherwise anything from seasons #1 and #2 would be confusing. Shoot….just typing my logic out confused me.

Yeah, what he said. ’66 is shorthand for the whole series. The comic was called Batman ’66, for example.
