Dig These History of CAPTAIN AMERICA Covers

John Tyler Christopher’s star-spangled salute…

Amid all the Batman-Catwoman wedding hype, there are are some other big comics this week — namely Captain America #1, with Ta-Nehisi Coates, Leinil Francis Yu and co. taking over the title.

Major releases these days usually mean a ton of variant covers — of both the publisher and retailer variety — and Cap #1 is no exception. The coolest ones I’ve seen so far? A series by John Tyler Christopher for Midtown Comics in New York City that shows Steve Rogers in various outfits and realities.

Check these out:

Modern Cap

Golden Age Cap

Super Soldier

The Captain

Nomad

Earth X Cap

Capwolf!

Unmasked

Pvt. Steve Rogers

Captain America #1 is out July 4th (of course). The covers above range in price of $12-$135. Click here for more info.
