The cover for Limited Collectors’ Edition #C-51 is one of comics’ greatest ever…

The Limited Collectors’ Edition #C-51 Facsimile Edition is out this week and we are all over that Bat-shizz.

I mean, what better time to show off the original art to Neal Adams’ classic wraparound cover?

Here’s the completed cover, as presented for the Facsimile Edition (only the price and UPC symbol are different)…

  1. Wow, gorgeous (of course). I saw this cover in ads in some of my earliest comics, and it scared the beejeezus out of me!

    Interesting that someone at DC edited the art. They made Robin’s belt black, but also moved up the ground (and Robin) to make it look like Batman was kneeling behind him, and not standing. The ground covers up more of Talia and the cape she’s holding as well. Kind of surprising someone was still editing Neal Adams art at that point!
