Superman’s 86th anniversary was April 18 and if you follow Matt Wagner on social media, it’s been a real treat.

Matt wrote on Facebook on April 22 that he was a little late to the party but still wanted to post a tribute to the Man of Steel, and showed off his riff on 1939’s Superman #1 cover:

Very cool. So much so that Matt couldn’t help himself and decided to post a whole bunch more for a self-styled Superman Week. Naturally, we had to share all the illos with you.
