A gorgeous fictional dress for a gorgeous fictional woman.
This is just plain fun.
I’ve already gone on record saying that Tom King’s Batman run is probably the most romantic mainstream comics story I’ve ever read. (Click here for more on that. I think you’ll dig it.)
Anyway, Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle this spring will really ramp up the wedding planning — and the bride has already picked out her dress (or technically she will in 4/4’s Batman #44):
The issue’s written by King, of course, with alternating art and covers by Joelle Jones and Mikel Janin.
Jones, who designed Selina’s gown, will handle Catwoman’s side of the story (including the cover above) while Janin will take care of Bruce’s perspective (including the cover below).
Polygon had the story first and you should check it out because they went so far as to have a fashion critic evaluate the gown. Personally, I expect that some big-time Batfans will get wedded in these outfits this summer, and how cool will that be?
DC, meanwhile, has also released Jones’ different designs for Selina’s dress:
Beauteous.
So, I wouldn’t make plans for July 4 — that’s the Big Date when Batman #50 hits the stands.
