Dig BRIAN BOLLAND’s DC SILVER AGE Homage Variant Covers Coming in MARCH

Shades of Showcase #4 and Ramona Fradon…

Earlier this week, we showed off Brian Bolland’s variant cover for February’s Superman and Spider-Man Facsimile Edition. You can check it out here.

Meanwhile, Bolland’s got two more old-school variants in the solicitations DC released this week — one that homages 1956’s Showcase #4 and one that pays tribute to Ramona Fradon’s 1960s Metamorpho.

Dig these:

Carmine Infantino pencils, Joe Kubert inks. Design by Robert Kanigher.

Fradon pencils, Charles Paris inks

The top one is for The Flash #31, due March 25. There will also be a foil version.

The bottom goes with Justice League Unlimited #17, due the same day.

  1. I’m always up for a bit of Bolland, but I don’t see that the Metamorpho image is a homage, particularly.
