DES TAYLOR’s Take on GEORGE PEREZ’s STARFIRE Absolutely Dazzles

DESPOP TUESDAYS!

The late, great George Perez was born 72 years ago, on June 9, 1954. This year, we have a four-part BIRTHDAY SPECIAL, because that’s just how it worked out. You can click here, here and here for the other parts.

Meanwhile, right here, we’ve got this never-shown beaut by our pal Des Taylor:

“The Tamaranean Treasure! I always loved how George Perez drew Kory,” sez Dez. “He looked at the concept of HOTNESS and decided it needed to be turned up to eleven. The massive flowing curly hair, the Fanta orange body, and the skin-tight purple outfit that defied the known laws of tailoring — Kori had enough radiant charm and the figure to turn Dick Grayson into DC’s version of Captain Kirk overnight!”

And, hey, if you want to see a gorgeous Starfire illo by Perez that’s up for auction, by all means click here.
