So this is nice. Comics pro Dean Haspiel is donating a piece of original art from his forthcoming The Fox series to help fund Dare2Draw’s Kickstarter campaign to launch its reality show. This is not something Dean typically does, and it’s his own “artist rejected” cover for The Fox #4. Dare2Draw will be doing portfolio reviews and promoting the Kickstarter this week at New York Comic Con, in Artist Alley at Table D-11. The Kickstarter ends October 17 at 9 p.m. The show is kinda sorta “American Idol” meets “Chopped” and is designed to spotlight up-and-coming artists.
