DARKWING DUCK vs. HULK BUNNY: Another Treasury Edition We REALLY Want to See

SUNDAY FUNNIES WITH KERRY CALLEN!

By KERRY CALLEN

About a year ago, I shared a commission of Underdog vs. Spider-Ham as a parody of the famous 1976 Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man treasury edition, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Well, the person who requested it came back with a fitting follow-up — Darkwing Duck vs. Hulk Bunny!

It’s based, of course, on 1981’s Batman vs. the Incredible Hulk treasury (aka DC Special Series #27). The requester and I brainstormed a bit, but we weren’t quite sure what was appropriate for the villains, so I merely made up characters and kept them in the animal kingdom.

And for those who didn’t click on the Underdog vs Spider-Ham link, here’s my earlier cover, along with its inspiration:

Since DC has released both Superman vs. Spider-Man and 1981’s Superman and Spider-Man as Facsimile Editions — can Batman vs. the Hulk be far behind?
