Mark Waid, one of comics’ most popular writers, is coming to the metro New York area this week, with stops at East Coast Comicon, just west of the city, and Aw Yeah Comics just north of the city.
Mark will be at East Coast Comicon in Secaucus, N.J., on April 16-17, along with his partner Christy Blanch, and Tiny Titans’ Franco. (The three are partners with Art Baltazar and their man of action Marc Hammond in the Aw Yeah chain of shops in New York, Indiana and Illinois.)
East Coast Comicon is located at the Meadowlands Expo Center and Mark, Christy and Franco will be there all weekend. (Click here for tickets and more info.)
Then, on Monday, April 18, Mark and Christy will be joined by Archie artist Veronica Fish at Aw Yeah Comics in Harrison, N.Y., from 5 to 7 p.m. (Click here for more info.)
So if you’re in the area, pay these folks a visit. Until then (or if you’re not in the area), check out these 13 COVERS from some of Mark’s best stories, selected by Hammond and myself. Because, y’know, it’s fun.
And, as always, if you don’t see your favorite, add it to the comments below or in whichever social-media thread you found this.
