(UPDATED: CONTEST CLOSED) We just finished running 13 days of strips from this Bat-tastic tome from IDW — and now you can win your own brand-new copy!
The book — Batman: The Silver Age of Newspaper Comics Vol. 2 — is a combined effort by IDW and the Library of American Comics with the OK from DC Comics.
The strips themselves capitalized on the ’60s Batmania borne of the Batman TV show craze, so they’re equal parts Silver Age comics and Bill Dozier camp. The front matter of the book even includes documents involving the show itself — and the back cover by Pete Poplaski highlights a familiar tableau:
PLUS in this volume, you get arcs featuring Superman and Aquaman — both of whom were enjoying Filmation runs around the same time!
It’s a terrific book, and worthy of any Bat- or Super- or Aquafan‘s library!
Here’s how to enter:
Step 1: Answer this question: What’s Aquaman’s real name?
Step 2: Email the answer to The13thD@gmail.com.
Step 3: One winner will be selected at random from those who send in a correct answer. Judge’s decision final.
Step 4: The winner will be announced on Twitter, so follow us @13th_Dimension – because the winner could be you!
The Fine Print: One entry per person. Prize will only be shipped to a continental U.S. address and will be sent within about 30 days of contest’s end. Entries must be received by 11:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 8.
