One of the Modern Age’s most stylistic artists goes deep with TwoMorrows’ Comic Book Creator…
I may not write about Modern Age comics as much as I used but that doesn’t mean there aren’t superb writers and artists working today. There most certainly are — and they don’t need me to say it.
Nevertheless, one of the most recognizable — and a personal favorite — is Terry Dodson, who’s getting the cover story treatment in TwoMorrows’ Comic Book Creator #26.

Summer 2021 – 84 FULL-COLOR pages
Comic Book Creator #26 presents our career-spanning, in-depth interview with comics phenom Terry Dodson, from breaking into comics at Malibu with Mantra, growth as the quintessential Harley Quinn artist, avoiding a multitude of trouble with Trouble, bouncing between DC (Wonder Woman), Marvel (X-Men), and independents (Red One) and his current Adventureman series with Matt Fraction. Then his go-to inker and wife Rachel Dodson shares a few words about working with hubby! Plus we chat with ’70s/’80s portfolio and pro-zine king Sal Quartuccio about his achievements with Phase, Hot Stuf’, and exceptional art prints. R. Crumb, Denis Kitchen, and others discuss the weird history of underground comix character Pro Junior, and we take a look at Will Eisner’s Valentines to his wife, Ann! And, of course, there’s our usual cast of regulars: Rich Arndt, Kendall Whitehouse, Darrick Patrick, and the latest from Hembeck! Edited by Jon B. Cooke.
The issue runs $9.95 and will be available through comics shops and other magazine sellers. But you can already pre-order it through TwoMorrows. (Click here.)
That said, you have a bit of a wait. The issue isn’t due until June 2021. But that’s OK. Gives your more time to check out his art, like these terrific covers:
