Coming full circle…
Some years ago came word that Abrams ComicArts was going to release a calendar featuring 12 of the original 1971 Marvel black-light posters published by Third Eye. Then it went away and morphed into a two-part series of high-end portfolios with posters closer in size to the originals than a calendar page. There was also the re-release in 2023 of Third Eye’s Marvel black-light notecards.
Well, here we are, back to the beginning: Abrams will be publishing the Marvel Classic Black Light 2025 Posters Calendar.

A few thoughts:
— The calendar is due July 9, 2024, and lists for $26.99. Click here for ordering info.
— This is welcome news. I own the portfolio sets, but they’re very large and require lots of wall space. Doing these as a calendar was a great idea then and is still a great idea.
— Abrams and Marvel could milk this for years: There were a total of 24 posters, plus the notecards.

I have a few Third Eye originals and passed on the portfolios because they were printed differently and did not have the same ultraviolet impact. My Hulk Psyklop poster looks like it’s plugged into the wall!
Anyone know if the calendar has fluorescent ink more faithful to the originals?
