Marvel will be reprinting the fan-favorite Rom/X-Men team-ups from the 1980s in a special Marvel Tales collection in December — fitting given it’s the traditional toy time of the year. Not just that, the publisher has officially solicited Volume 1 of the long-craved Micronauts Omnibus, coming in April.

A few thoughts:
— Fans have been clamoring for reprints of the Rom/X-Men team-ups forever. I believe this is a first-ever thing because of rights issues. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
— Don’t forget — Rom: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus Vol. 1 is coming too. It’s due in January. Plus, the Rom #1 Facsimile Edition is already out.
— The Nick Bradshaw cover for Marvel Tales has not yet been released, so we used a cover from the original Rom series.

This is indeed the first time these stores have been reprinted. Issues 17&18 were my first exposure to the X-Men.

They should have added Rom Annual #3 with the New Mutants and even X-Man #31. Perhaps also Avengers Academy #23-25, so it would make a decent TPB.
