But anytime you pair Aquaman (can’t fly) and Hawkman (can’t swim with those wings), I’m down for it. — Fantastic Four #12 Facsimile Edition, Marvel. Wrapping up Marvel’s yearlong Facsimile run of the first 12 issues of FF. By the way, check out Ron Frenz and Brett Breeding’s fabulous homage to this Kirby/Ayers cover, for an upcoming Planet of the Apes vs. Fantastic Four variant. — Batman and Robin #28, DC. Of the three monthly Bat-titles I’m reading — Batman, Detective, this — Batman and Robin is the most uneven. It’s good, sometimes very good. Just not a knockout. But hey, maybe it’s me: I’m not a Ventriloquist fan. Anyway, curious where the title’s headed, with writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson moving to Marvel exclusively. — DC Finest: Wonder Woman — Introducing Wonder Woman, DC. Like the title says, the Amazing Amazon’s earliest adventures. Scott adds: Everyone needs to read the truly unhinged original Wonder Woman stories by William Mouton Marston and H.G. Peter. Like nothing else. — Action Comics #1093, DC. Superboy can stop extraterrestrial threats and catch meteors. But how does he stack up against… the bank?! — Comic Book Creator #41, TwoMorrows. The Len Wein issue! Groovy Frank Cho cover, too. — RetroFan #42, TwoMorrows. Adam West was interviewed a million times, including by yours truly. But can you ever get enough?
