The man who brought T’Challa to the screen has died.

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has died at the age of 43, according to the New York Post.

Boseman, who also made his career playing baseball luminary Jackie Robinson in 42, battled colon cancer for four years.

In a twist of fate, Friday was Jackie Robinson Day and the 103rd anniversary of the birth of Black Panther co-creator Jack Kirby.

  1. Very sad! I just posted this poster as my profile picture on my Facebook page along with a NY Times article. I also posted the article on a Facebook page about Grant Morrison/Batman in an article about Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the creators of Black Panther. I was so sad to hear this.

  2. A well respected young, strong man. Sadly will be missed. So very young, so very talented. Loved all of his films.
