It’s coming but you’re just gonna have to be a little patient, folks…
Delayed gratification can be a wonderful thing so it’s in that spirit that we tell you that IDW’s David Mazzucchelli’s Batman: Year One Artist’s Edition has been pushed back six weeks, according to online sales listings.
The much-ballyhooed book, designed by Chip Kidd and edited by Scott Dunbier — and showcasing the story written by Frank Miller, natch — is now due Aug. 13, 2024, instead of the previously posted July 2.
So, six weeks more of antici…pation.
The 144-page oversize hardcover lists for $150. And in case you’re getting all paranoid, rest assured it is finished. Dunbier posted this recently on Facebook:
So this is just one of those things. (If you want to tease yourself with some of what’s inside, click here.)
Meanwhile, the Neal Adams Classic DC Artist’s Edition is still set for a Sept. 10, 2024, release.
