What did they see?
Every comics fan knows the image by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson — the Dynamic Duo standing vigilant on a nighttime Gotham rooftop. It was originally a 1966 center spread and pinup, and evolved into one of the most recognizable Batman and Robin illustrations ever.
Now, you could ask yourself: What are they looking for? Are they simply on patrol? On a stakeout, waiting for the Joker or the Riddler to launch whatever scheme they’re about to hatch?
Those questions have never been answered, but here’s a start: artist Dakota Alexander’s groovy new drawing that moves the clock ahead by one second:
Now, we just need to find out what Batman and Robin saw — and what they did next.
