Toughest choice I’ve had to make in some time. Here’s why …
If you’re the kind of Batman fan who likes the things I like, then it’s an embarrassment of riches this week: Batman ’66: The Lost Episode, the finale of Batman ’66 Meets the Green Hornet and Batman and Robin #36 all come out.
I can’t wait to read all three but the edge goes to The Lost Episode. It really has to. Ellison, Wein, Garcia-Lopez with an Alex Ross cover. Two-Face in the Batman ’66 world, finally. Complete with the original Harlan Ellison outline and other goodies, like Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez’s pencils. This promises to be one of the year’s biggest Bat-releases. (And see what Len Wein has to say about it here.)
Also on the Batman ’66 front, the Green Hornet miniseries from Ralph Garman, Ty Templeton and Kevin Smith has been the best story of the comics series to date. Fun story, great dialogue. Looking forward to Issue #6. And Batman and Robin has been the best Batbook of the DCU proper, so what a week!
