British comic creator Ben McCool has a string of indie Image Comics books you’d be familiar with from the racks (Pigs, Choker, Memoir) as well as more mainstream titles such as Justice League Unlimited. He also has the honor of being the only comic creator who lives in New York that I’ve done any barhopping with, including a stop at Fenway Park’s Bleacher Bar.

Harlan Ellison Calls BULL on Disney’s “Mr. Banks”
After an evening of viewing Mr Banks at the home of an unnamed member of the Hollywood elite, with a room full of industry hotshots, many associated with the film, legendary writer Harlan Ellison can contain himself no more. He begins by mentioning the brilliant performances and thanks his host for the wonderful night, but then tells it like only Harlan Ellison can. He calls Disney’s film manipulative.
