AUGUST’s FANTASTIC FOUR #15 Will Feature Art by KIRBY, BUSCEMA, BYRNE and MORE

A 65th ANNIVERSARY special…

Fantastic Four #1 came out 65 years ago this summer — Aug, 8, 1961, to be precise — and Marvel has a couple of comics on the way that celebrate the anniversary. One of them is Fantastic Four: 65 Years of the World’s Greatest Comic Covers! which spotlights every main FF cover ever published. Head on over here to get the skinny.

The other publication is Fantastic Four #15, which will utilize classic images by Jack Kirby, John Buscema, John Byrne and Steve Epting “in an entirely new way.” (Both issues are due Aug. 5.)

Martin foil cover

That Martin cover will look fun in foil, won’t it?

It’s not yet clear what “an entirely new way” means for the vintage art, though Marvel did something similar with Planet of the Apes a few years ago. We’ll find out soon enough. The mere idea sounds intriguing.
