ARCHIE Launches Christmas Season With Two BETTY AND VERONICA Mags

A SNEAK PEEK featuring Frank Doyle, Stan Goldberg, Dan Parent and MORE…

Psst. Christmas is next month. Next month?! Yes, next month — and Archie Comics is ready to go with the first two of its annual holiday season offerings: Betty and Veronica Friends Forever: Christmas Party #1 and World of Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #20.

Both are due Nov. 9 and each includes a new story by talents such as Dan Parent, J. Torres, Jim Amash, Bill Galvan, Bob Smith, Glenn Whitmore, Jack Morelli, Bill Golliher and Tito Pena, plus favorites by the likes of Dan DeCarlo Jr., Stan Goldberg and Frank Doyle.

“Archie and Christmas go together like Jughead and burgers, or Reggie and pranks, like Betty and Veronica; I mean, we are the official comic book of Christmas!” says Archie Editor-in-Chief Mike Pellerito. “It’s a great time of the year, and we love to hear from our fans who see Archie as much a part of their celebration as any annual tradition. Whether it’s stockings filled with digests, or getting a pile of Archie comics on Christmas Eve to read with cookies and milk, it’s amazing how wonderfully these comics impact people’s lives during the holiday season.

“We have been leaning more and more into Christmas because of all the positive fan feedback,” Pellerito added. “As a special treat, in this new season of comics and digests, all the Archie Christmas characters show up: the magic elf Jingles, Sugar Plum the Christmas Fairy, Santa’s teenage daughter and friend of Betty and Veronica, Noel, and even Santa himself.”

So dig these SNEAK PEEKS, including a glimpse at the two new stories, plus a couple of complete vintage tales:

  1. I used to love the Christmas specials as a kid, and Laugh and Pep would publish Christmas stories too.
I’ve been disappointed in recent years that the digests would just have a few Christmas stories at the beginning and end, and the rest would be regular stories. Nothing wrong with the regular stories, but we can get those all year. I really hope these will be filled with Holiday stories!

  2. I can tell where these stories are going but they’re still fun! Yes, I read the Christmas comics in High School!
