A few thoughts:

— What am I gonna say? This is groovy news. How about that? Two of the most important Spidey issues getting back-to-back re-releases? Far, far, far out. Make sure you pre-order yours, though. Facsimile Editions have become collectibles in their own right. Issue #121 is due June 14. Issue #122 is due June 28.

— Both issues actually came out earlier in the year in 1973, but whatevs. That said, do check out Peter Bosch’s lovely tribute to Gwen Stacy, which we published on March 13, 2023, the actual 50th anniversary of #121. Click here. It’s a sweet read.

Obligatory Price Comparison: An unslabbed, mid-grade original set of #121 and #122 recently sold on eBay for $770. The two FEs will knock you back 4 bucks each.

  1. I prefer this as a GN or hard cover. They did a great job with the Hungarian releases in 2017

  2. I have the originals, and the Marvel Tales reprints. But heck, I’m getting these too. We are in the Golden Age of facsimile reprints, and I’m loving it!

  3. I also have the originals and reprints but I’ll be getting these, too. I’ve always been a sucker for reprints and especially facsimile reprints.

  4. they ought to include #123 with the funeral & Luke Cage. It’s a great capper to the storyline and I remember it being cathartic when little me picjed it up off the stands.
