Buncha thoughts:

— Tales of the Green Lantern Corps #1 debuted Feb. 5, 1981.

— This is interesting timing. I’d have thought DC would have published this when Lanterns hit, because the series deals with the origin of the Green Lantern Corps. But hey. In any event, there’s not an obvious hook with the current GL comics, so this just might be a happy circumstance. Or maybe it’s because of Arisia and the series came out 45 years ago this winter.

— DC could also be looking to move sketch covers with that logo on it too. So many possibilities for GL fans looking for commissions.

— This is expected to be a one-off, not a full run of the mini. In other words, an “orphan,” as 13th Dimension reader D. Preece calls it.

— Don’t forget there are two other Facsimiles coming in January. Link below!

— Obligatory Price Comparison: You can find an unslabbed, mid-grade original on the secondary market for a few bucks.
