DC has three Facsimile Editions coming in July, and one of them is an all-time Silver Age classic — 1960’s Justice League of America #1. (The other two deserve their own story, so click on over here to check that out.)

A few thoughts:
— DC has already published The Brave and the Bold #28 — the JLA’s first appearance — as a Facsimile Edition twice already, so this is a very welcome addition to the line.
— Do you like your Despero Mohawk-style or fan-style?
— Obligatory Price Comparison: An unslabbed original JLA #1 in fine condition recently sold on eBay for about $1,525. I really love getting Facsimile Editions of favorite originals that I own. But I also really love getting Facsimile Editions of comics that are way out of my price range. Groovy.

I’ve always maintained that the chess-playing was inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s “The Seventh Seal.”
