Several thoughts:
— Batman #1’s 85th anniversary was in April. So why is this coming in September? Welp, DC’s kicking off a new series with Batman #1 on Sept. 3. Click here for more on that.
— There’s another reason it’s well timed to September — but you’ll have to wait until Friday to get the EXCLUSIVE scoop!
— Obligatory Price Comparison: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Batman #1 is worth gajillions of dollars. But the 2023 standard-size Facsimile will cost you up to about $15.
— Like I noted above, there are two more Facsimile Editions in September that are worth your attention. Check out the links below.

Wow!! I may have the earlier Famous First Edition of this, or at least I saw it!

Curious if the INTERIOR will be golden age size. I was so disappointed by the Action #1 “golden size” reprint this year. The pages were golden age size, but the actual contents inside were shrunk down to something approximating standard size.

Didn’t they already GA size this on Batman Day?

That was Detective #27

While I get the push back when these are done at non-GA (Golden Age) sizes, the smaller size fits in the traditional spinner rack nicely. I do end up getting (1) issue of the true size editions for the bookshelf.
What I would love to see is DC open this up to the fans telling them what they would love to see in a facsimile run. Ala Kickstarter kind of…fans would speak immediately with their $$$ backing what they truly want to see.

Agree. Personally I’d love to see facsimile’s of Action’s and Detective’s early issues, but at a much more reasonable price. As much as I’d like them, I’d never pay $9.99 per issue, or even $6.99.

Ahem…these new Golden age reprints arent true to size. They are Magazine sized. How come they cant do it right? Dont believe me? Try fitting them into GA bags or top loaders.

I wondered about that!!! Action 1 seemed TOO large!
