Man, I loved Fred Hembeck’s strips on the Daily Planet page in DC’s Bronze Age comics. They were clever and whimsical and the only thing missing was a “ba-dum-bum” sound effect when the punchline hit.
Fred, who was born Jan. 30, 1953, may not be doing the strip anymore but he regularly produces sketch cards that you can purchase at comics conventions he attends or on eBay.
