13 GLORIOUS SHANG-CHI COVERS — Just for Kicks

Time to get your kung fu on…

Between George Wilson and Earl Norem, I’ve had painted covers on the brain. So when the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer hit this week, I was inspired to post these 13 COVERS, mostly from Marvel’s ’70s mag The Deadly Hands of Kung Fu.

A few other fave Shang-Chi covers have been thrown in for good measure, as well, so dig these:

  1. I was a little underwhelmed by the trailer. I am currently reading through the Epic Collections, and they have a unique flavor that seemed to be missing. Sherlock Holmes, James Bond, Bruce Lee, pulp mysteries, sci-fi craziness… not a lot of that made it into the trailer, hopefully more will make it into the movie.

  2. My continuing interest in the MCU is slowly losing gas. This movie holds zero interest for me. My interest started to fade around Ironman 3.

  3. The Moench/Gulacy run on MoKF is one of the best. Like the iterations of the character published since the initial series, I don’t think there’s any way the film can capture what made it stand out. I hope it does but, from the looks of the trailer, it’s Netflix-level Marvel actioner.
