The Dark Knight Returns Gallery Edition from Graphitti Designs and DC is due out 5/18 and every day for 13 days we’ve presented a page (sometimes two!) EXCLUSIVELY here at 13th Dimension.

The 13 x 20 book features hundreds of amazingly detailed pages scanned directly from Frank Miller and Klaus Janson’s original art.

In this finale, we bring you another Miller and Janson side-by-side comparison. This page is one of the most important in the story and one of the most iconic Batman pages ever, and I’m especially proud to wrap this series here. For another side-by-side comparison — of the previous page in this scene — click here. It’s amazing to see two immense talents differ so drastically.

Here’s a thumbnail of the two pages …

  3. I noticed that by the the end of the book the lines looked more like Miller, but I imagined it was just art directing from Miller to Janson. Makes so much sense now. Either way some of the squiggly thin inking from Miller works and some of Janson’s more sharp inks work on some other parts. I think at the end the right pages were printed.
